A1 Phacoemulsification is the latest technique being practiced for our patients. We implant all kind of advanced technology intra ocular lenses, like toric and multifocal IOL implants to make the patients spectacle independent or less dependent on spectacles.
Q-3 What about glaucoma treatment?
A1 Glaucoma is an irreversible but fully preventable cause of blindness. Timely diagnosis is made by detailed and thorough examination of every patient, approaching the centre. Variety of medical, Laser and surgical options for glaucoma treatment are available at our Centre.
Q-4 Can you guide us about treatment for removal of glasses?
A1Excimer laser is the technology used to reshape the cornea. Treatment is generally undertaken for myopia after 20 years of age. The decisions are tailored individually, after careful refraction, detailed eye examination and corneal topography. The blade less removal of glasses with Femtolasik is also available.
Q-5 Is pink-eye contagious?
Yes, viral conjunctivitis (pink-eye) is very common and is extremely contagious. Avoid touching eyes with your hands, wash hands frequently, do not share towels, and avoid work, school or daycare activities for a least five days or as long as the discharge is present.
